She was preceded in death by her parents, Robert H. Bauermeister and Helen M. Bauermeister; brother Robert M. Bauermeister; and grandson Carson Butler.
She is survived by her children Kelly (Mickey) Malicoat and Mike (Jamie) Butler; grandchildren Paige Butler, Cade Butler, Carlie Butler and Parker Butler; brothers Mark Bauermeister and Gary Bauermeister, along with many nieces and nephews.
Peggy graduated from William Chrisman High School in 1968. She retired from Sprint Relay in 2012.
Peggy was a loving mother and grandmother who enjoyed spending time with family and friends. As a young woman, she was a member of the Mo-Kan Twirlers, winning a State Championship in high school. She was very active in dance and enjoyed teaching dance classes as well.
A visitation will be held on Saturday, September 7, 2024, from 2:00 pm – 4:00 p.m. at Mission Woods Community of Christ Church, 2800 NW Duncan Rd., Blue Springs, MO 64015. A private family memorial will take place at a later date.
