He was preceded in death by his stepfather Ed Brewer and survived by his mother, Lorraine Brewer of Lenexa, father Bill Murphy of Colorado Springs, brother Bryon and sister-in-law Erin, nephew Luke, niece Emilia of Olathe, brother Tristan of Lenexa, sisters Jessica, Kelsey, Abrielle of Colorado Springs, and many aunts, uncles, and cousins.
Nick was born March 22, 1978, in Robbinsdale, MN. He was a graduate of Shawnee Mission West high school, and a proud Kansas State University alum. He was a track athlete, drum and bugle corps drummer and instructor, avid reader, expert gamer and always exploring a new interest. Nick was employed for the past 12 years in transportation and logistics at Bunzl Distribution USA in Kansas City.
Nick will be remembered as a kind and giving son, brother, uncle, cousin, and friend.
A private inurnment service will be held at Mt. Moriah Cemetery, and a celebration of life event will be held in the coming weeks.
