One great grandchild, who proceeded her in death, Katherine Todd, was present to greet her at Heaven’s gate. She had many nieces and nephews who loved their Aunt Monica and will miss her dearly.

Monica was very active in her parish, Our Lady of Lourdes. She was a person who actively lived her Christian faith. She was past president of the Altar Society, Eucharistic minister to the sick and homebound, RCIA director with her husband Bud, and member of the quilting club. The parish loved her to read scripture at Mass.
She was a meticulous seamstress and excellent cook. Her cherry and apple pies were the best on the planet. Let’s not even talk about her fried chicken.
She enjoyed her home and her beautiful flower gardens. She loved hosting parties for Christmas, bridal showers, baby showers and chicken foot dominoes. She made herself the official welcome wagon for her neighborhood by baking each new resident an apple pie and hand delivering it herself.
She made sure her children were always dressed well on a limited budget by making all their clothes herself. From layette to suits and bridal gowns, they all would stand out in a crowd.
Her love and friendship was cherished by all.
Miss you Mom.
