Mary Ellen Sloan, 81, Kansas City in Platte County, MO, passed October 19, 2019 at the University of Kansas Hospital, Kansas City, KS.

The Mass of Christian Burial is 3:00 PM Friday, October 25th at St. Therese Catholic Church, where a visitation is scheduled from 2:00 - 3:00 PM. Graveside services are 10:30 AM Saturday, October 26th at the Hillcrest Cemetery, Excelsior Springs, MO. Contributions are suggested to the American Cancer Society or St. Therese Catholic Church.

Following a dedicated career, Mary Ellen retired from Sunshine Biscuit (Kelloggs). She enjoyed spending time with family and friends. Mary Ellen enjoyed trips with friends, going to the casino, and eating out. She was preceded in death by her husband, Jewell Glen Sloan.

Survivors include two children, Steven Glen Sloan of Springtown, TX, and Patricia Gail Essman of Kansas City, MO; nine grandchildren, seven great-grandchildren, multiple siblings, and multiple nieces and nephews.
