Marilyn Kay Christianson passed away November 11, 2020 at her home in Kansas City Missouri after a long illness. Kay was born May 21, 1952 to her parents Robert and Leta (Miller) Petrie of Kansas City Missouri. She attended schools in the Hickman Mills school district and Ruskin High School, class of 1970. Over the years she lived in Lexington and Grand Island Nebraska, Corydon Iowa and Kansas City Missouri.
She leaves behind her husband of 50 years, Tom, 3 sons, John, Matthew and Jesse, a brother, Mike (& Bert) Petrie of Kansas City, Missouri, a sister, Betty Jewett of Golden Valley, Arizona, a sister-in-law Carolyn Christianson of Lees Summit, 3 Grandchildren and 3 Great Grandchildren and many nephews and nieces.
Kay was preceded in death by parents Robert and Leta Petrie and brother-in-law’s Jim Jewett and David Christianson.
She was a Cub Scout Den mother and Webelo leader. Over the years worked at a pharmacy, Coca-Cola distribution, a collection agency, Cabela's and a local health care company. She was an avid reader and loved crocheting, sewing, cooking, dinner theaters and live stage shows, camping, RV trips, boating and fishing. Kay love her family, Grandchildren, dogs and cats very much. Kay will be greatly missed by all.
