Margaret married James (Jim) Hobbs on November 20, 1971 and she dedicated her life to being a Godly wife to him and a praiseworthy mother to their four children, Lisa, Lora, Aaron and Joseph. She knew how to make a house a home and until the day she passed was there to ensure a hot meal was on the table for her family everyday. She thrived by helping others, whether it was watching their kids, cleaning their house, delivering a meal, spending an hour talking on the phone, or making three different kinds of potato salad for the picky eaters in the family. Margaret loved the Lord and Sunday mornings were dedicated to worshipping and praising God and teaching Sunday School to the next generation.
Margaret took special joy in spending time in nature and walking the hiking trails when she traveled. She was always on the hunt for the next perfect rock to add to her collection in the garden. These trips were even more special when the whole extended family was able to join in. We all have such joyous memories of these trips and wish we could take just one last one together. This summer she did get to take one last trip with Jim, her youngest son, Joseph and grandson Owen as they explored the Badlands, Mt Rushmore, Yellowstone and Grand Tetons.
Margaret was a giver and loved with her whole heart. Everyone who came into her presence left feeling heard, helped, loved and supported. She has left a void that her family and friends cannot fill.
Her Memorial Service will be held on Saturday, September 21, 2024 at 3pm at Waldo Avenue Restoration Church located at 819 W. Waldo Avenue, Independence MO, 64050.
