Lois E. Walker, 84, Overland Park, Kansas, passed away December 21, 2011. Funeral services will be 11:00 a.m., Wednesday, December 28, at Mt. Moriah & Freeman Funeral Home, 10507 Holmes Road. Burial in Mt. Moriah Cemetery. Visitation will be from 10:00-11:00 a.m., Wednesday prior to services. Lois was born July 1, 1927 in Martin City, Missouri, the second daughter to Kelsa Bean and Alice Tipton. Three children were born to her union with Glenn York. Lois was employed with Yellow Freight and had worked as a nanny for many years. She was a member of Hillcrest Covenant Church and a decade’s long volunteer at Kaleidoscope. Lois is survived by two sisters, Kelsa Jean Lane of Gamaliel, Arkansas, and Alice Mae Snyder of Prather, California; daughter Sandee and her husband B.C. Millett of Lee’s Summit, Missouri; son Rich York of Rio Rancho, New Mexico; and son Steve York of Hawaii; three grandchildren, Bryon York, Bryn York Martinez and Nathan Millett; and six great-grandchildren.
