Linda Eileen Logan

She was born October 29, 1945 in Independence,MO

Linda was a wonderful mother who was always there when her family needed her the most. She was a devoted grandmother. She will be dearly missed by all whose lives she touched. She had the ability to light up a room with her outlandish sense of humor and keen ability to surprise you with her silliness. She wanted everyone around to smile, feel comfortable and be lighthearted. She loved to dance and if the music moved her, no matter where she was, she was moving to the music.

Linda had a strong work ethic which undoubtedly, she learned from her mother. She started her career at Hallmark Cards in the mid- 1960’s. She worked in various departments from manufacturing, production, retail to creative. She loved being part of a company that was not only a staple of Kansas City, but the greeting card industry. She enjoyed being part of a company that touched lives. In 1996 she retired from Hallmark Cards after 29 years. She was not one to let a little thing like retirement stop her from starting a second career.

In 1997 she began her second career in the healthcare industry, earning her certification as a Certified Nursing Assistant and later becoming an Activities Director. She worked at retirement and nursing facilities before spending the last part of her healthcare career at Waterford Ladies Home. Each of the residents she worked with and cared for became like family. She received letters and praise from the family members of those she cared for on a daily basis. During her 22 years in healthcare, she also took care of each of her grandsons for the first two years of their lives during the week and continued to work weekends taking care of what she thought of as her extended family. A shining example of a strong work ethic and devotion to family.

We have all been blessed to have shared in her giving nature, silly sense of humor and her ability to show us all how to dance through all things.

She is preceded in death by her mother Dorothy Logan and father Herbert C. Logan Jr.

She is survived by her daughter Tracy Hazen and husband Mike, sister Judy Lusso ( Jim); brother Herbert C. Logan III, sister Ann Howell ( William); grandson Zachary Hazen wife Cayla; grandson Aaron Hazen; great grandson Kason Hazen; 8 nieces and nephews and many great nieces and nephews.

Celebration of Life will be at 9:00 am December 20, 2024 at Floral Hills Funeral Home.
