Laura Winifred Vincent

Laura was born in Orrick, Missouri on December 5, 1928 to Jim and Anna Lillard. She graduated from Orrick High School. Laura worked at Hallmark Cards where she met Donald Vincent. They dated for a short period before Don asked for her hand in marriage. They were married on August 13, 1949. Laura and Don started their family and had two sons, Donald and Kirk. She stayed at home to raise the boys and to provide a wonderful home. Laura was good with her hands and enjoyed crafts and sewing. She was an excellent cook and made wonderful pies.

She was preceded in death by her parents, sisters, Leona, Mary, Kay and Juanita and a brother, Wesley.

Laura is survived by her husband of 74 years, Donald Vincent, sons, Donald G. Vincent and wife, Christina and Stephen Kirk and wife Rhonda, grandchildren, Rachel, Willie, Kari, Natalie, Stephen and Bailey, 19 great-grandchildren.

A visitation for Laura will be held Monday, July 10, 2023 from 10:30 to 11:00 at Mt. Moriah, Newcomer & Freeman Funeral Home, 10507 Holmes Road, Kansas City, MO 64131 with the Funeral Service at 11:00 am. Burial in Mount Moriah Cemetery South.
