Kip Harlan Mayhew

A Visitation will take place from 2:00pm to 3:00pm, followed by a Funeral Service at 3:00pm, Saturday, March 16 at Mt. Moriah, Newcomer & Freeman Funeral Home, 10507 Holmes Road, Kansas City, Missouri 64131.

Kip was born September 25, 1962 at Queen of the World Hospital in Kansas City, Missouri. He graduated from Paseo High School and took fashion merchandise and art classes at Penn Valley Community College. Kip modeled for Hallmark Cards.

He loved art, entertainment, drawing and was involved in multiple church ministries.

Kip was preceded in death by his father, Wilford Mayhew, and a sister, Brenda Washington. He is survived by a son, Brandon K. (Nashara) Mayhew; a granddaughter, Paris Jade Mayhew; his mother, Saundra Mayhew; three brothers, Anthony “Tony” (Rhonda) Mayhew, Desmond “Desi” Mayhew, Robert Camara; a sister, Virginia Vann; his grandmother, Lavernine Smith; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, uncles and an aunt.

Through all of life’s turbulence, Kip was always positive and kept faith in God.
