

Judith Kay Setley, 76, of Loch Lloyd, MO, passed away peacefully on October 1st, 2017. Visitation will be Sunday, October 8th from 5-7 pm at Mt. Moriah, Newcomer & Freeman Funeral Home, 10507 Holmes Rd., Kansas City, MO. The funeral service will be Monday, October 9th, 10:00 am, at Church of the Resurrection, Wesley Chapel, 13720 Roe Blvd., Leawood, KS, with internment to follow at Mt. Moriah Cemetery.
Judy was born on October 14th, 1940 in Kansas City, MO, to Earl and Lorene Hetrick. She was preceded in death by her parents and her husband of 56 years, Gary. Judy is survived by her sons Scott (Lori), Brian (Christine), four beautiful grandchildren whom she adored; Sierra, Savannah, Jakob and Elisabeth, and sister, Linda Miller, and family.
Judy grew up in Kansas City, MO, and graduated from Paseo High School. On April 22nd, 1961, Judy married the love of her life, Gary. Judy was a homemaker raising her two boys until deciding to go back to school where she earned a nursing degree from Penn Valley Community College. She worked several years at Research Hospital until deciding to enjoy retirement with husband Gary. Together they enjoyed traveling and spending time at the Lake of the Ozarks with family and friends. In recent years Judy enjoyed playing mahjong and bunko with her many friends, participating in the Loch Lloyd Garden Club, attending every event in the lives of her grandchildren, and she enjoyed spending time spoiling her family.
Judy was loved and cherished by everyone who met her. She will be greatly missed.
The entire family would like to thank everyone for the support, love and caring you have shown us during this difficult time. In lieu of flowers, the family requests contributions be made in her memory to Kansas City Hospice or Church of the Resurrection.
