During his short life, which began on September 5, 2019 at Shawnee Mission Medical Center, his parents, Nicole Bland and Joshua Webb, Sr, knew his life was destined to be special, and it was. Josiah was born with a very rare genetic disorder, and was not expected to live, but he defied the odds. Although he was non-verbal he spoke with his eyes and his smile lit up a room whether he was playing with his favorite toys or jumping to music, or cuddling with his brothers to watch TV.
Everyone who met Josiah from his caregivers, to family, to friends and even complete strangers, said Josiah significantly touched their lives. and now God’s little angel is smiling down from heaven, free of all the medical equipment that kept him alive, as he waits for the time when he will reunite with his parents,
his brothers, Antonio King, Joshua Webb Jr.; his paternal grandmother, Jessie Ford; his maternal grandparents, Nanci and Scott Heigele; also maternal grandparents, Kenneth and Michelle Bland; his great-grandmother Marina Garcia; great-grandmother, Jo Heigele; great-grandmother Charlotte Bland;
great-grandpa Forrest Bland; his aunts, Cristina Lewis and Brittany Rodriguez; his uncle, Charles Webb Il; his cousins, Julius, Taylor, Cayden, Charles IlI, Tyler, Leilani, and Johb; his best friends and nurses, Whitney and Rose; and his godmothers, Madelaine Heigele and Kathy Quinn.
To honor Josiah's memory, we are holding a celebration of his life on June 18, 2022, at Antioch Church, in Merriam, KS. We invite anyone who knew, prayed, or cared for Josiah to attend and remember his wonderful life.
