John Edward Gant

He was born on September 21, 1930, in Kansas City Missouri to John and Eva (Baker) Gant. John married Virginia Hazel West in 1948 in Kansas City Missouri, where they lived and raised their two (2) daughters and several beloved dogs.

John was in the Septic Tank Business with his father as well as a Police Officer with the Kansas City Missouri Police Department for a time. He spent most of his life as a Carpenter. He enjoyed spending time at his and Virginia’s cabin at the Lake of the Ozarks, watching Football and Baseball games and listening to country music.

John was preceded in death by his parents, wife Virginia, brother Lloyd, and great granddaughter Stella Ann Henry. John leaves behind his daughters, Janet (Daryl) Marshall, Debbie (Guy) Henry, granddaughter Stacy (Curtis) Flynn, grandson Jon (Kayla) Marshall, grandson Corey (Ashley) Henry, and Two (2) great-grandsons, Jonathan Threlkeld, and Michael Henry. He will be lovingly remembered.

To honor our fathers wishes, there will be no funeral service. There will be a private Graveside service at Mount Moriah Cemetery at a later date.
