So very sorry to learn of Jeans passing. May the great memories comfort you all during this time.

I will always remember Jean as the "Munsch Lady" - Jean was the REAL teacher for two years during my time as Library Media Specialist at Sunrise Point Elementary. Her "go to" author was Robert Munsch. She loved reading his books to the K-2 students. She even purchased "mini" Munsch books for the students.  Jean adored her grandchildren and spoke of them often. It was a joy to listen to her talk about each of them. I'm so glad she had the opportunity to move from out east to share her life with us. She had a good sense of humor and will be missed dearly by those that knew her. My thoughts and prayers are with the family. May God give you peace.

I was so sorry to hear of Jean's passing. I have known Jean for almost 30 years and besides being friends she was like my own family. We had so many memories of times we shared and they will always be special to me. Jean will always have a special place in my heart and will be missed very much. My prayers go out to her family.

Jean was a great member of the SPE staff!   Her good humor and smile brought smiles to others.  During lunch, she would often pop into the lounge just to say hello. It was difficult when she headed off to another school.  But I was glad to know she was still working with kids.  They brought her a lot of joy, as everyone knew her grandchildren did.  It is with sorrow that I heard she passed at such a young age really.  I wish she could have had many more years!  I know she will be missed by many.  My deepest condolences to her family.

I first knew Jean's family when I was an ESOL teacher at Stanley my first year in Blue Valley School District. Her grandson, Niko, always greeted me with a smile and a hello each day. The next year Niko moved to Blue River, I was teaching there, too.  I asked him, "Are you following me?"  He just chuckled.  The following year Sunrise Point opened and Niko and I were both there. :)  We were definitely destined to be at the same school.  I then got to know Jean when she was our "Reading Lady" at Sunrise Point Elementary.  The kids adored her.  A few years later she was our ESOL para and I worked very closely with her and got to know her very well.  She helped us tremendously with our newcomer students.  I was going to Connecticut for a conference with my husband and I talked to Jean about what I needed to do there.  She introduced me to "Lobster Rolls"!   In the 4 days  I was there I had 5 lobster rolls... amazing!  Jean always had a story or tale about her grand-kids, family or her cats.  She was so proud of everyone and grateful for their support and love.  I will deeply miss her.  I will think of her often, and remember her laugh.  May she rest in peace and may her family heal with each other through this most difficult time.

So sorry to hear about Jean's passing.  Jean was such a sweet and funny gal.   Loved her sweet smile.  When I worked with her at Sunrise Point Elementary we would trade animal stories. I loved hearing her funny stories of her cats(Jean's furry kids) and she always talked about her grandkids events she would attend over the weekend.  She was so proud of them.

I always enjoyed chatting with Jean any chance I was given - at Kristine's house, at basketball games, at school, anywhere!  I especially enjoyed sitting and chatting with Jean at basketball games.  She always had fun stories to tell about her grandkids, travel, or just funny thoughts/insights about everyday life. I remember watching Jean make (knit) a winter hat for Lexi, and I thought of all the love that went into that special hat. 
I will always remember the absolute joy Jean expressed in being able to show her support  at her grandkids' activities.  She was so very proud of them. Ellory will always remember Jean as "the library lady that everyone loved," and Ethan will always remember her words of encouragement and praise after each game (regardless of the final score).  Jean touched all of our lives in so many beautiful ways.  We will miss her dearly.

Jean worked with our ESOL students at Cottonwood Point.  She took such an interest in each child.  When we had evening events, she always came to help and talk to the parents.  My sincere condolences to her family, that she loved so dearly.  Regie Lorimer

Jean Kelly was one of a kind. I was lucky enough to know her from school. She had the greatest sense of humor and could make me laugh. She was so proud of her grandchildren. My sympathy and love go to you her family. May your love and faith comfort you during this time.

I am very happy to have worked with Jean at SPE.  She was SO friendly.  She would always pop into the lounge while I ate lunch just to say "hello".  She was great reading to the students, putting great emotion into what she read. I am very saddened to hear of her passing.  I know she would have loved to had many more years with her grandchildren.  Glad she made the move to KS when she did.

Jean was such a sweet lady. We loved seeing her at her Grandson's gymnastics meets and her Granddaughter's dance activities. She handmade all 4 of our children beautiful winter hats that we will always treasure. We were blessed to know her, and will miss her very much. I first met Jean at Sunrise Point Elementary school where I was lucky enough not only to enjoy her friendship, but teach her three beautiful grandchildren. Jean was always a joy to be around;laughing, joking, and lighting up the room. I miss you Jean. I know your spirit will live on in your grandchildren. Your family will be in my prayers.

I worked with Jean at Sunrise Point Elementary. We had so much fun sharing our stories about our cats.  We both had the same love for cats. We would share stories and pictures of our 4 legged friends.  I will miss her greatly. Love and prayers to her family.
