Jasper Michael Marino, a beloved husband, son, father, grandfather and uncle passed away at 91 years of age on January 20, 2021. Jasper was a life-long Kansas Citian and went to Central High School, Kansas City Junior College and Kansas City University (now UMKC). He loved his city, his family and friends and was a big supporter of all things Kansas City. He was passionate about the Chiefs (and was an original Red Coater for years), the Royals, KU Jayhawk basketball, playing golf at Wolf Creek Golf Club, his Catholic faith, traveling abroad with his loving and devoted wife and gin rummy. He was a hands-on family man and father and took his daughters everywhere he went and taught them everything he knew. He was also a proud veteran of the Korean War.
Jasper built a successful career in the Insurance Business and had his own Insurance Agency for many years. He told everyone he loved going to work and worked until the age of 78.
Our family is grateful for all the family support and friends throughout his life. He enjoyed every minute of it while he was healthy.
He was preceded in death by his parents Pasquale and Josephine (Arbisi) Marino. He is survived by his wife of 66 years, Barbara Marino, his daughters Julianne Marino Vance (Mark Vance) and Jennifer Marino, and his grandsons, Matthew Vance and Thomas Vance.
A private mass will be livestreamed on Saturday, January 30.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Harvesters.
