Ira L. Martin, 81, Kansas City, passed away Oct. 11, 2014 at Jefferson Health Care in Lee’s Summit. Funeral services will be 11:00 AM on Wednesday Oct. 22 at McGilley Antioch Chapel, 3325 NE Vivion Road, Kansas City. A visitation will precede the service, beginning at 10:00. Burial will take place at White Chapel Cemetery, Kansas City.
Ira was born June 1, 1933 in Spickard, MO to Ira and Clarice Adams Martin. He attended Spickard High School, then joined the Army, serving honorably in Korea. He married the former Etta Mae Morgan on June 1, 1952. After the Army, the couple moved to Kansas City, where Ira was a cabinet maker. Ira was an honest, God-fearing man and loving husband who enjoyed gardening and working with his hands.
Predeceased by his parents and dear wife, Ira is survived by daughters Cheryl and Janice and a sister, Viola Stamper. Arr. McGilley Antioch Chapel.
