Henry Karl Schmidt Jr.

Karl met and later married Lorraine Oberholtz in 1956 and celebrated 65 years together as husband and wife.

Karl was a hard worker and dedicated his life to providing the best for his family.

Karl joined the International Brotherhood of Electrical Workers (IBEW Local #124) as an apprentice and remained a member for 65 years. During his time with the IBEW Karl sat on the Pension board and served as Treasurer.

Karl never met a stranger and was always willing to help anyone he could.

Karl and Lorraine were members of the Vintage Motor Car Club of America where Karl also served as club treasurer. He and Lorraine took many club trips in their prized 1956 Chevy and enjoyed many club gatherings with other members.

Henry Karl Schmidt, Jr. passed from this earth on December 12, 2021 at 85 years old. He was preceded in death by his father Henry Karl, Sr., his mother Rose Schmidt Copeland and brother Richard Dennis Schmidt.

Remaining to cherish many memories are his loving wife, Lorraine; his sister, Deanna Williams; daughters, Karen (David) Bennett and Susan (Rick) Baylor; grandsons, Zachary (Brandi) Bennett, Zayne Bennett and Brock Baylor; granddaughter, Riley Baylor; great-granddaughter, Joslyn Forcum; great-grandson, Maverick Bennett; beloved nieces, nephews and others he considered family.
