November 14, 1954 – January 2, 2020
Gregory James Hall of Leawood, Kansas passed away unexpectedly January 2, 2020. Greg was born November 14, 1954 in Omaha, NE to Catherine T. (Fischer) Hall and Bernard H. Hall. He is survived by his wife of 35 years, Donna, and their two sons, Shannon and Dustin. He is also survived by seven brothers, four sisters and numerous nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents and three siblings.
Greg was an avid fan of almost all sports at every level; he was also a talented landscaper. Greg was an enthusiastic user of social media and embraced all types of new technology. His interest in technology was reflected in his successful, two-decade career in the medical software industry. Photography and writing were also passions of his which he used to promote and recognize the sport of cross country. In this endeavor he befriended many runners and coaches. His positive attitude and fun-loving nature will be missed by not only his family and work colleagues but by fellow sports fans and the many people he impacted in the running community. Greg loved everything about life in Kansas City, including rooting for the Chiefs and Royals; Kansas City barbecue was a particular favorite and Greg often said that no other city’s BBQ compared. He touched many lives in the 31 years that he lived in the Kansas City area.
A spring Celebration of Life is planned to take place in Greg’s hometown of Omaha, NE. A specific date has not been determined.
