Glenda (Boots) Johnson, age 78, of North Kansas City, Missouri, passed away peacefully, Saturday, December 3, 2022, at North Kansas City Hospital. She was born in Christian County on August 1, 1944, the daughter of Emory George and Ruby Marie Moore. Boots was united in marriage to Clyde (Butch) Junior Johnson on November 3, 1962, recently celebrating 60 years.
As a housewife, Boots had a great love of family that was a priority for her. She raised two daughters and assisted with her three grandchildren as they grew up. Boots has been enjoying being retired with her husband, Butch, the last several years. Her Christian belief was very strong which led her to be a faithful attender at New Kingdom of Faith and Restoration Church for 13 years. She became well-known as the church’s honorary grandmother. She always loved giving to her family and church family.
She was preceded in death by her parents; twin brother, Bobby Moore; daughter, Christine Elam and grandson, James Johnson.
Survivors include her husband, Clyde Johnson; daughter, Cindy (Roger) Blevins, Kansas City, Kansas; two granddaughters, Stacy (Chris, Regan, Briella) Engle-Tjaden, Wichita, Kansas, Tiffany (Kamala) Stacker, Kansas City, Kansas; two sisters, Betty Russell, Missouri City, Missouri, Carol (Frank) Sirna, Grain Valley, Missouri, and several nieces and nephews.
The family suggests contributions to New Kingdom of Faith and Restoration Church.
