Geraldine Marjorie Schreiber

Jeri Schreiber, 94, passed away on June 17, 2016. Visitation will be held from 1:00-2:00 p.m. Tuesday, June 21 with funeral service at 2:00 pm at Hickman Mills Community Christian, 5809 E Red Bridge Rd., Kansas City, Missouri.

Jeri was born on October 16, 1921 in Brillion, Wisconsin. She moved to the Kansas City area in 1963.

Jeri was a member of Hickman Mills Community Christian Church since 1981 where she served as an Elder and honored as Elder Emeritus. She served on the Board of Directors, Member and past president of the Disciples Class as well as the Christian Women’s Fellowship. Member and past president of the GFWC Homemaker’s Club of Hickman Mills. She retired as a secretary from the Grandview School District’s Martin City School in 1982.

Jeri is preceded in death by her husband of 60 years, Wilfred “Scrip” Schreiber; her parents, William and Olga Gerlach; her two sisters, Lorena Ruehlman and Ruth Carstens; her brother, Robert Gerlach. She is survived by her two daughters, Sandra Moore and Bonita Schreiber; her brother, Howard Gerlach (Gloria); sister-in-law, Marion Kuether, brothers-in-law, Norbert Schreiber (Ginny), Herbert Schreiber and Alvin Schreiber (Frances); five grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren; three great-great-grandchildren; many nieces and nephews.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be given to the church.
