George was born on August 3, 1937 in Calhoun, Missouri to William and Zula Ray. He grew up in Winsor, Missouri and moved to Kansas City after graduating high school. He married Patsy Ann Gray on March 22, 1959. George worked as a systems analyst for the Retired Pay Division of the United States Marine Corps, and held various other jobs throughout the years. In 2023, he moved to Gower, Missouri.
George is preceded in death by his parents William and Zula, wife Patsy, siblings Junior, Janice, Frankie, and Ekla May, daughter Melissa, and granddaughter Tiffany.
He is survived by his sister Mildred, son Jason (Mary), grandchildren Sherry (David), Vanessa, Haley (Jereme), Steven (Danielle), Alex (Lindsay), Kelsey, and Austin, great-grandchildren Mackenzie, Korie, Katie, Lanah, Serenity, Jailyn, Chloe, Rowan, Alexis, Kai, Harley, Jackson, Odin, Leo, and Hayden, and many nieces and nephews.
