Gail Severson

Gail Severson, 81, Gladstone, passed away Sept 26, 2016. Memorial Service is Tuesday, Oct. 4, 2016 at 3:00 PM at McGilley Antioch Chapel, 3325 NE Vivion Road, Kansas City. A visitation will precede the service from 2:00 to 3:00 PM. Private burial will take place at a later date at Graceland Cemetery, Madison, SD.

Gail was born March 11, 1935 to Rudolph and Florence (Carlson) Severson in Minneapolis, MN. After high school, she attended Glenwood Hills School of Nursing and worked ten years at Homewood Hospital in Minneapolis. In 1967 she moved to the Kansas City area, where she worked 30 years for AMOCO Oil Co. She was an active volunteer with Cancer Action, a member of L.I.F.T. and member of Faubion United Methodist Church.

Gail is preceded in death by her parents; her brother, Phillip Severson; and her companion of the home, Laurel Mickelson. Survivors include her daughters, Kim (Mark) Allen and Tammi (Monte) Linville; cousins Teri (Gerry) Anderson and Colleen (Larry) Baker; special family friend Sharyn (Wayne) Roquette; grandchildren Devin and Mitch Allen and Chris, Lindsey and Laura Mercier; numerous nieces, nephews and friends; and her beloved dog, Sophie.
