Frank David Speck, 78, Raymore, MO, passed away December 10, 2015. Visitation will be from 6:00-8:00 p.m. Tuesday, December 15 with funeral service at 11:00 a.m. Wednesday, December 16, at the First Baptist Church of Raymore, 116 S. Washington St., Raymore, MO 64083. Burial in Mt. Moriah Cemetery, 10507 Holmes Rd., Kansas City, MO. Memorial contributions may be made to the First Baptist Church of Raymore.
Mr. Speck was born September 26, 1937 in Des Moines, IA, son of George W. and Anna E. (Peck) Speck. He was a U.S. Army veteran, serving his country from 1955 to 1958. He graduated from UMKC with a degree in Geology. Mr. Speck worked for Bendix Corp. as an Electrical Technician, retiring after 35 years of service. After his retirement he attended Longview College to take a surveying class and got a job with the Missouri DOT.
He was very active in the support of his church. He was a loving husband, father, brother and grandfather. He enjoyed helping people.
He was preceded in death by his parents and brothers Fred and Oliver Speck. Mr. Speck is survived by his wife of 54 years, Mary Jo (Cross) Speck of the home; daughters Debbie Howard (Jim), Belton, MO and Daphne Tucker, Vero Beach, FL; brother James Speck, Deland, FL; sisters Ruth Speck, Raymore, MO, Ruby Diaz, Ankeny, IA, Rachel Dieterich, Kahoka, MO, Connie Van Elsen (Robert), St. Petersburg, FL, Mary Enslen (Albert), Vero Beach, FL; four grandchildren Matthew and Brandon Wright, Kari Howard and Joshua Tucker; extended family and friends.
