Funeral services will be held Friday April 14, 2023 at McGilley Antioch Chapel Funeral Home 3325 NE Vivion Rd. K.C. Mo. 64119. Visitation will be from 10am to 12pm followed by Funeral Services at 12pm. A graveside burial at Mount Olivet Catholic Cemetery 7601 Blue Ridge Blvd Raytown, Mo. 64138.
Ethel was born in Lee's Summit, Missouri to Loren and Frances Bureman Sr. Her parents would then move to Buckner, Mo, and later settle in Lexington, Mo. She graduated from Lexington High School and went on to attend the Kansas City Business College where she would meet her future husband Eugene Bernauer. After the two were married they resided in Kansas City, Mo. and later settled in Gladstone, Mo to raise their three children Eric, Eldon (Kip) and Eugenia Bernauer. She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, sister, aunt, sister-in-law and friend to many.
She loved to crochet, sew, work jigsaw puzzles and work puzzle books. She enjoyed watching old classic movies on tv and being a Den Mother in the Cub Scouts. She was a huge Elvis Presley fan and loved the color purple, loved to bake dessert cakes and cookies in particular.
She is preceded in death by her husband Eugene Bernauer, mother and father Loren & Frances Bureman Sr. and brother Loren Bureman Jr.
She is survived by her sons Eric Bernauer and Cheryl Matthews of Kansas City, Mo., Eldon (Kip) and Lisa Bernauer of Kansas City, Mo., her daughter and son-in-law Eugenia and Troy Logan of Kansas City, Mo., brother Ron and sister-in-law Roxy Bureman of Washington, Mo., sister-in-law Diane Bureman of Tonganoxie, Ks, Grandson's Alex L. Bernauer, Dylan & Jakob Bernauer along with 4 great-grandchildren and many nieces, nephews and friends
