Elois was the youngest of 4 children and grew up on a farm in Eastern Independence. She was an active member of St. Mark's Catholic Church and enjoyed going out to breakfast after Mass. Elois’s life revolved around her family. Holidays were filled with massive amounts of food and lots of storytelling. She was an avid quilter and gifting her quilts gave her great joy. All four of her sons and one of her grandsons are Eagle Scouts, which was a big point of pride as she supported the Boy Scouts for many years. Animals were also an important part of her life. Spoiling her beloved pets kept her going as she catered to their needs. Her claim to fame, other than being an incredible wife, mother and grandmother, was anything Blackberry! From blackberry wine cake, blackberry cobbler and her famous blackberry jelly; there was always something to share!
Elois was preceded in death by her parents; all three siblings; her beloved husband, Owen E. Davis and their oldest son, Dennis L. Davis. She is survived by sons; Ron Davis (wife, Birdena), Tom Davis and Joe Davis (wife, Sherry) as well as many grandchildren, great grandchildren and great-great grandchildren.
