Danny spent his childhood growing up in El Paso, while going to school he took a side job working at a restaurant. At the age of 16 his family moved to Kansas City, where he finished his education and took classes at Penn Valley Metropolitan Community College.
Danny found his passion in carpentry and construction. He spent many hours refurbishing and restoring furniture as a hobby. He would also make his own furniture which he would give as gifts to his family and loved ones.
He was always enjoyed supporting the chiefs, and watching American Idol, even sick in the hospital he would never miss a game or an episode. He adored and cared greatly for his garden, raising tomatoes and flowers he had the best landscape in the neighborhood.
He was preceded in death by his father, Jose G. Cantu; his brother Gilbert Cantu and his son, Jose M. Cantu.
He is survived by his wife, Maria Cantu; his mother, Carmen Ramirez Cantu; his children, Katty Cantu, Daniel "Guale" Cantu, Christian Martin Buenrostro, and his 8 loving grandchildren.
A visitation for Daniel will be held Tuesday, November 28, 2023 from 9:30 AM to 11:00 AM at St. Anthony Parish, 309 Benton Blvd, Kansas City, MO 64124, followed by a funeral mass from 11:00 AM to 12:00 PM.
Daniel will be laid to rest in Mount Moriah Cemetery South, 10507 Holmes Road, Kansas City, Missouri 64131; Section: 25, Lot: 219, Grave: 5.
