Connie Irene Poe

Connie Irene Poe, age 73, passed away June 9th, 2014 at home with family in Greenwood, Missouri. Visitation will be held from 12:00-1:00 p.m. followed by funeral service at 1:00 p.m. Thursday, June 12th, at Mt. Moriah & Freeman Funeral Home, 10507 Holmes Road, Kansas City, Missouri. Burial in Mt. Moriah Cemetery.

She was born July 18th, 1940 in Springfield, Missouri, the daughter of Albert Lee and Sadie Violet Noyes. On June 3rd, 1960 Connie was united in marriage to William J. Poe in Lansing, Kansas. Following their marriage Connie and William made their home in Kansas City and later moved to Greenwood.

Connie had her own business in crafts and home design. She was preceded in death by one grandson and two brothers. She is survived by her soulmate, William J. Poe; five children Michael J. Poe and his wife Fransiska of Raymore, Teresa L. Hudson and her husband Victor of Sedalia, Missouri, Jeffrey D. Poe of Greenwood, Missouri, Kimberly A. Poe, and Diana L. Norton and her husband Brian of Raytown, Missouri. She is also survived by four loving grandchildren William and Christian Hudson, Sara Jo and Ean Poe, two great-grandchildren, extended family and friends.
