Cecil was born on March 27, 1962, son of Robert Allen and Jackie Marie Stude. Cecil lived in the Johnson County area of Kansas. He attended Valley View Elementary School, Nallwood Junior High and Shawnee Mission South High School growing up. Cecil went to Leawood Baptist church with his family and accepted Jesus and his Savior when he was about 9 years old.
After high school, Cecil went to DeVry Institute of Technology, receiving a 2 year electronics degree. After DeVry Cecil worked at Colt Technologies out in Lenexa. Later on he worked at the Marley Building off Johnson Drive working as a night janitor. He later was employed with Lucent Technologies for a good 6 or 7 years, and JB Hunt Trucking where Cecil drove a semi truck all across America. Cecil also worked at Cotton Transmission, repairing and overhauling transmissions. Later on Cecil worked through several temp agencies, working jobs at the Atrium, Village Shalom, Welstone At Mission, Dynamic Logistics and Jet.com ( later renamed Walmart.com ). A few other places Cecil worked at over the years: Hardees, Dennys, Strang Hall, Advent Hospital in the kitchen, and Q39 in the kitchen as well.
Cecil liked to work on his cars, mainly his yellow 1970 Firebird Esprit with a 400 GTO engine, his black 1970 454 SS Chevelle, a red/gold 1978 King Cobra Mustang, and his 1982 silver Corvette was one of his prized possessions later in life. In the 80’s, Cecil also helped Glenn, a homeless man whenever he could, like repairing the engine in Glenn's van, whenever it wasn’t running. Cecil also worked on cars on the side, to make extra money, mainly rebuilding transmissions for friends and other people. Cecil knew V8 engines through and through, being more knowledgable about engines and transmissions than most ASE Certified technicians at most auto repair shops. If it took oil and made a spark, Cecil could most likely fix it.
Cecil enjoyed spending time with his nephews when they were little. He liked to buy toys that would entertain them. One of their favorites was a "water stomp rocket". In later years, Cecil was the fittest of us all, driving to the bike hike down off 103rd and Metcalf, and jogging 8 to 10 miles at a time, several days each week. He would talk about all the jogging and biking accidents he'd witness while on the bike hike, and he'd try to help out those who got injured.
