Catherine E. Doyle

Catherine E. Doyle, 85, of Olathe, KS, passed away on Fri., Nov. 25, 2011. The Mass of Christian Burial will be 10:00 a.m., Sat., Dec. 3, at St. Catherine of Siena Catholic Church, 4101 East 105th Terr., Kansas City, MO. Interment will follow at Mt. Olivet Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 9:00 -10:00 a.m. prior to Mass at the church.

Katy was born Sept. 19, 1926 in Kansas City, KS, to Michael and Louise (Paulin) Dobbins. She attended Annunciation School and graduated from Lillis High School. She continued her education at Sarachon-Hooley Secretarial School. She worked at TWA, DuPont Film, and later worked at Richards-Gebaur Air Force Base. Katy was married to Emery “Joe” Doyle in 1951 at Annunciation Church. She was a member of St. Catherine’s parish for over 50 years. Her passion for her faith was reflected in everything she did. Katy enjoyed family, genealogy research, reading and gardening.

Katy was preceded in death by her parents; siblings Darlyne Tackett, Dorothy Dobbins, Elizabeth “Betty Lou” Vick and Michael “Jim” Dobbins. Katy is survived by her loving husband of 60 years, Joe; children Mary (John) Orfali, Joe (Kathy) Doyle, and Kevin (Trish) Doyle; brother David Dobbins; grandchildren Christopher and Zachary Orfali, Patrick, John and Michael Doyle.
