Catherine Brennan

Catherine Marie Brennan, 92, of Overland Park, Kansas, passed away Wednesday, April 13, 2016. Mass of Christian Burial will be held Monday, April 18th, 10:00 a.m., at St. Thomas More Catholic Church, 11822 Holmes, Kansas City, MO. Visitation will be held Sunday, April 17th, at McGilley State Line Chapel, from 3:00 to 5:00 p.m. Memorial contributions may be made to St. Thomas More Catholic Church.

Katie was born December 8, 1923, in Kansas City, MO to Frank and Antonia Dichiara. She graduated from St. Aloysius in Kansas City, MO. She married Lewis Brennan July 24, 1957 at St. Francis Xavier Parish, Kansas City. She worked 17 years at the Alameda Hotel as the cashier at The Roof Top Restaurant. Katie was a member of St. Thomas More Parish for 40 years and a member of The Ladies of Charity at St. Thomas More. Prior to that, she was a member of St. Peters Parish for 12 years. Katie was a volunteer at St. Joseph Hospital.

Katie was preceded in death by her husband, Lewis. She is survived by her son, John (Joni) Brennan of Sioux Falls, SD; daughter, Annette (Jon) Myers of Crystal Lake, IL; three grandchildren, Christina Brennan, David and Jack Myers.
