Carolyn Marie Cory Schroering

Carolyn Marie Schroering, 51, of Olathe Kansas, passed away peacefully January 15th, 2013, at home surrounded by her loving family. Carolyn was born August 2nd, 1961 in Oxon Hill, Maryland, the daughter of Ward and Dorothy Cory. Carolyn was preceded in death by her parents. She is survived by husband Martin; son, Ryan; daughter, Christine; siblings, Ward, Cynthia, Stephen, Stuart, Melanie, Susan, and their families. Carolyn was born into a close knit military family and was the youngest of seven. She followed in her daddy’s footsteps and was a proud graduate of the University of Kansas with a BFA degree in graphic design. After college she spent time as an aerobics and dance instructor, while cheerleading for the Kansas City Chiefs. She later went on to a career at Sprint in business sales before becoming a stay at home mom for her twins. Visitation will be from 3:00-5:00 p.m. Sunday, January 20th, at Mt. Moriah & Freeman Funeral Home, 10507 Holmes Road, Kansas City, Missouri, 64131. Funeral Mass will be held 10:30 a.m. Monday, January 21st, at Prince of Peace Catholic Church, 16000 W. 143rd, Olathe, Kansas 66062. Interment will follow in Mt. Moriah Cemetery.
