Born on May 8, 1938 in Fort Scott, KS, Carolyn loved shopping, traveling, horses, looking pretty and most of all her family. She retired from the Continental Insurance Company in 1992 after 30 years but her life’s passion was for her family. She was a beloved wife, sister, mother, stepmother, grandmother and great-grandmother whose loving, generous personality and feisty spark will be deeply missed by all who knew her.
She was greeted in Heaven by her parents Woody and Myrtle Strader and a beloved grandson Dominick Musacchio.
She leaves behind an adoring husband Matthew; daughters Nancy Chandler, Linda Musacchio and Debbie Lear; four stepchildren; granddaughters Julianne Lear and Jessica Ashcraft; grandson Korey Lear; five stepgrandchildren; great-grandsons Ethan and Alex; great-granddaughter Bella; two stepgreat-granddaughters and a great-grandson to be Dominick.
Visitation will be from 6:00-8:00 p.m. Wednesday, February 25, at Mt. Moriah & Freeman Funeral Home, 10507 Holmes Rd., Kansas City, MO. Funeral services will be held at 1:00 p.m. Thursday at the funeral home. Burial will follow in Mt. Moriah Cemetery.
