It is with incredibly heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Brian Scott Christopherson, age 64, on November 4th, 2023. Brian was born on December 7th, 1958 in Kansas City, Missouri to Lytle G. and Lois A. Christopherson. Brian met the love of his life, Laura, while living in Texas. The two were married on May 20th, 1989. They had one son, Conner, and eventually moved back to Kansas City where the rest of his family resided.
Anyone who knew Brian, knew that he loved to work with his hands. He was skilled at wood working, home remodeling, and although he chose home remodeling as a profession; he also enjoyed completing home projects in his spare time. Brian was also known for his love of BBQ and experimenting with different recipes and flavors on the grill. When he wasn’t working on projects or concocting up delicious foods on the grill, Brian could be found out on the golf course; often times with his wife, Laura.
Brian also loved to travel, especially with his wife, Laura, and other family members. It’s easy to have travel companions when you’re one of nine children. His travels took him from Myrtle Beach, to Yellow Stone, and even Alaska. Brian had a deep love of sports. He was always cheering on the Chiefs on Sundays and MIZ-ZOU on Saturdays.
Brian will be remembered as someone who, while quiet at times, was always good for a laugh. He was caring, honest, and someone you could always count on. He will be remembered as a loving, loyal, and devout Husband and Father; a Brother you could always turn to; and an Uncle and Friend who made you laugh and supported you.
Brian was preceded in death by his parents, Lytle G. and Lois A. Christopherson; his brother, Todd Christopherson; and sister, Melonie Hale.
He is survived by his wife of 34 years, Laura of Kansas City; his son, Conner of Kansas City; six siblings and their families.
Please feel free to dress casually to attend Brian's services.
