Billy Dean Locke

Billy was born on February 14, 1927 in Galesburg, Kansas, to William and Mabel Locke. Survivors include Billy's wife of 70 1/2 years, JoAnn Locke; daughter, Debra Locke; son, Craig Locke and his wife Kerrie; grandson, Kale Locke and Stephanie Corwin with great-grandson Cody Locke; granddaughter, Carlie Locke Nikel, her husband Matt Nikel and great-granddaughter Crosby Nikel; as well as many relatives and friends. He was preceded in death by his granddaughter, Kelsey Marie Locke.

Billy served in the United States Navy for 27 years as a submarine (QM) Naval Navigator during World War II. He then retired to the Gas Service Company in Kansas City for 26 years.

Billy will be missed dearly and the memories of him will reach far into the future.

The visitation and funeral services will be held at Mt. Moriah, Newcomer & Freeman Funeral Home, 10507 Holmes Road, Kansas City, Missouri 64131 on Saturday, October 1 from 12:00-2:00 p.m. A graveside committal will follow at 2:00 p.m. at Mount Moriah Cemetery South, 10507 Holmes Road, Kansas City, Missouri 64131.
