Barbara Jean Hall was born on March 4, 1938 to Earl McCurter and Mary Ettie (Green) McCurter in Kennett, Missouri. She grew up in Dunklin County and moved to the Kansas City area in 1955.
Barbara worked for Coca Cola and Allied Van Lines before purchasing a business in the late 70’s. She was co-owner of Bi-Rite Liquors in Grandview, Missouri until the early 90’s when she retired after selling the business.
She was preceded in death by her parents Earl and Ettie McCurter and twelve brothers and sisters.
Barbara is survived by her children, Judy (Brad) Sauerbry, Barbara Creel, Mary Beth Williams, James Overman Jr (Leslie), Melinda Lathim, Shannon (Johnny) McKown and Sharon (Don) McCain: Eleven grandchildren, Eighteen great-grandchildren: one sister in-law, several nieces, nephews, other relatives and many friends

A visitation for Barbara will be held Friday, December 30, 2022 from 9:00 AM to 10:00 AM at Newcomer's Floral Hills Funeral Home, 7000 BLUE RIDGE BLVD, KANSAS CITY, MO 64133. A funeral service will occur Friday, December 30, 2022 from 10:00 AM to 10:45 AM, 7000 BLUE RIDGE BLVD, KANSAS CITY, MO 64133. A graveside service will occur Friday, December 30, 2022 from 10:45 AM to 11:00 AM, 7000 BLUE RIDGE BLVD, KANSAS CITY, MO 64133.
