He was born on July 9, 1930 to Thomas and Lillie Morgan in Wickliffe, Kentucky.
Arnold grew up in Wickliffe, Kentucky and was the last surviving of eight siblings. After spending most of his school years in Wickliffe, Arnold joined the military when of age. While in the military, he met the love of his life, Barbara Ann Smith, and they were married for 50 years until Barbara’s passing in 2006. They had two children, Kevin and Brenda Morgan. After serving in the military, Arnold became an ironworker, and his job brought him and his family to Kansas City early in his career. Arnold was a Foreman for Lasley Steele Co. until he retired. After he retired from the Union, Arnold and his wife opened a car business, Barbara’s Used Cars. Arnold loved spending time with his family, and he loved to spoil his grandchildren. He cherished time with his family during the holidays, hosting family and friends at the lake house, and vacationing with his grandchildren. The lake was his family’s happy place. Arnold loved boating, fishing, and teaching his grandchildren how to ski. He also had a love for sports whether it was watching it on t.v., coaching his own two children, or watching his grandchildren or great grandchildren participate. Arnold Morgan also knew no stranger, he was alway willing to lend a helping hand to those in need.
Arnold is survived by his son Kevin Morgan and his wife Gay Morgan of Independence, MO; daughter Brenda Cianciolo of Lake Winnebago, MO; grandchildren, Jennifer Hart, Michael Morgan, and Rebecca Slaughter; and great grandchildren, Keagan Hart, Morgan Hart, Blake Morgan, Kobe Morgan, Zane Morgan, Grace Slaughter, and Olivia Slaughter. Preceded in Death by his wife Barbara Morgan, and son-in-law John Cianciolo.
A visitation will be held for Arnold Morgan on Wednesday, November 16, 2022 from 9:00 am to 10:00 am at Newcomer’s Floral Hills Funeral Home, 7000 Blue Ridge BLVD Kansas City, MO 64133 followed by a funeral service from 10:00 am to 11:00 am.
