Adeline Gerhardt Johnson

Adeline Gerhardt Johnson, age 91, Kansas City, MO, died October 20, 2017 in her home. A memorial service will be held at 4:00 pm, Wednesday, November 22, at St. Andrew's Episcopal Church, Wornall and Meyer Blvd.

Born November 6, 1925 in Sylvan Grove, KS to parents Edmer and Lydia Franke Gerhardt. From being born in a rural farmhouse, she grew up to be a world traveler. Her many interests included tennis, skiing, bridge, traveling, and music, especially jazz. She was a member of St. Andrew's Episcopal Church, the Missouri Yacht Club, St Andrew's Altar Guild, Society of Fellows for the Nelson-Atkins, Garden of the Gods Club, and the Carriage Club. She was a surgical nurse before her marriage in 1951 to Perry Johnson who preceded her in death.

She is survived by her five children and their spouses: Sidney Sutton and husband Tod, Perry Johnson Jr. and wife Julie, Eric Johnson and wife Sheila Fitzgerald, Robin Boswell and husband Scott, and Joie Johnson, and by her beloved eight grandsons, Blair, Grant, Perry III, Parker, Senn Jr., Graham, Emilio II and Martin. She greatly appreciated the wonderful friends and neighbors in Kansas City and at Lake Lotawana.
