I knew Mike from a young teen who worked
For me. So smart and a hard worker. I pray for his peace and know he is missed

Mike and I deployed to Egypt and we also served on Battalion staff together. He was a good guy and was always quick to help you out if you needed it. He's going to be missed. 

Mike and I deployed to Sinai Peninsula together. That was a good mission. He was in charge of the quick reaction force that year. His team looked up to him, complimented his leadership and mentorship.. he was a good officer indeed. I'm honored to have known and worked with him over the years. I also appreciate the mentorship he shared with me as I progressed in my roles as well. My condolences and prayers  to his family.

I remember attending a warfighter with CPT Turney and I performing the same job 12 hours hours apart. He was a remarkable gentleman and fellow artillery officer. I wish to express my deepest condolences to the Turney family.

I was proud to serve with Michael over the past 13 years as a member of  BTRY B 1-127, HHB 2-130 and HQ 130 FA BDE. Michael told me that he joined the National Guard to serve his country and during the second act of his adult life.  Michael was a member of our team and he will be missed.

I served with Michael in the Kansas National Guard.  He was a lieutenant during my time with him.  He was a good man who always had his soldiers best interest at heart.  We will miss you and rest easy.

Saddened to hear this terrible news.  A great Soldier who I had the honor and pleasure  of serving with in 2/130th FA. RIP.
