Working with his Dad from the age of ten, he learned the HVAC trade. He became a Master Mechanic through his craft. He took extreme pride in the quality of his work. The tough love from his father made him the man he was, a self sufficient, can fix anything kind of guy. He was there for anyone who needed his help, anytime and anywhere. His mother passed along her sensitivity to him, which he only showed to those he truly loved. His older sister Shawna could make him do anything with the promise of telling him what his gifts were for any given holiday. He met his soul brother Dustin and they got into more trouble than any two boys ever should! His younger sister Meghan took his baby status in the family and he taught her how to handle herself in any given situation. He was devastated when his step father Rich, whom he came to love and count on passed away.
He met Melissa and Micheal and created a family he adored. They were married for twenty-five years. Melissa’s family made him a part of their family and gave him even more people for him to love. His children Micheal, Angelica, Paul, and Zachery were his world. He was so proud of their accomplishments and the adults they turned into. He had hoped to pass along the knowledge he gained from his father and create an HVAC dynasty but they had other plans and chose different paths. Lil Micheal made him the father he always wanted to be. His son Paul was his mini me and became his best friend. He was overjoyed when his baby girl Angelica told him he was going to be a Pop pop to her baby girl in December 2024. The day Zachery moved out to make his own way in the world was one of the proudest as well as one of the saddest days of his life.
He had the soul of a country boy born in the city. He finally found his place in Valley Falls where he integrated into the community and small town life. His passions were hunting, fishing, shooting, grilling, antiquing, and collecting (collecting, collecting, and collecting). The Fourth of July was his birthday, Christmas and all the holidays put together. He loved the Kansas City Chiefs and got to see them play in numerous locations throughout the country. He loved traveling. He found the beaches in Hawaii were where his soul was at peace. His family will make that his final resting place.
