Melanie Lynn Chandley was born in Kansas City, Kansas on February 21, 1985.
She went to be with her Lord Jesus Christ on January 26, 2020 at her home
in Basehor, Kansas. She was preceded in death by her sister Melissa Marie
Chandley, her maternal grandparents Ralph (Pat) and Mildred Patterson, and
her paternal grandparents Stuart and Marie Chandley. Her parents, Mark
and Martha Chandley, live in Basehor, Kansas.
Melanie had an infectious smile for everyone. She loved the Lord Jesus and
her family. She was an avid reader, caring para professional, and creative
crafter. Her love of books was enhanced by her job at the Bonner Springs
City Library. Her caring attitude was demonstrated by her para job at
Basehor-Linwood High School. She gave all she had to working with students.
During her extra time, she enjoyed card making, painting pottery, and
spending time with her dogs Coconut (Cocoa) and Oreo. She was a member of
Judson Baptist church in Kansas City, Kansas where she was involved in
choir, play productions, Bible study, Vacation Bible school, and Sunday
school.
Melanie will be missed by family members, colleagues, and friends. Rest in
peace sweet Melanie.
