The family moved to Kansas City, Kansas, in 1955. She attended Blessed Sacrament Elementary School and then Bishop Ward High School, graduating in 1967. She went on to graduate from the Avila School of Nursing and spent nearly 35 years in nursing, first at Bethany Hospital, then Kansas University Medical Center where she was primarily an emergency room nurse.
She loved playing piano and was quite proficient. She learned artistry and excelled with a substantial and beautiful collection of paintings.
She is survived by her four brothers, Paul (Portage, IN), Richard (Naples, FL), Robert (Clarkesville, GA), and Joseph (Olathe, KS), as well as several nieces and nephews.
We mourn the loss of our sister and encourage all who knew her to remember her dedication to helping those in need. She brought happiness, joy and support to everyone, especially to all in her extended family.
For those who wish to do so, donations may be made to St. Jude's.
