

Lynn Anthony Crockett, 55, of KCK, passed away May 29, 2014 at home. Memorial visitation will be held from noon-3:00 p.m. on Saturday, June 7, 2014 at Chapel Hill-Butler Funeral Home, 701 N. 94th St., KCK. Burial will be private at the request of the Crockett family.
Lynn was born August 2, 1958 in KCK to Carl and Lovetta Crockett. He graduated from Schlagle High School and then attended KCKCC for some time. Lynn started working for the Social Security Administration in 1978 and worked there for 35 years, retiring in 2013. He was well liked by all who knew him. Lynn played on wheelchair basketball and softball teams for many years, including Kansas City Rolling Pioneers and Kansas City Wheelchair Softball, traveling thoughout the States. He had an enormous music collection, from vinyl records to CDs and had all kinds of stereo equipment to play it on, you name it, Lynn had it.
He was preceded in death by his father, Carl Crockett, Sr., his brothers, Frank E. Crockett, Tyrone Crockett and Carl Crockett, Jr., and his brother-in-law, Thomas Nelson, Sr., sister-in-law, Shirley Crockett and special cousin/friend/brother Gary Walker.
Lynn is survived by his son, Elijah Woodson; his mother, Lovetta Crockett; his twelve siblings, Calvin A. Crockett, Deanna Joan Nelson, Lloyd Crockett, Doris Jean Ezell (Harold), Beverly Watie (Preston), Terry Crockett, Lawrence Crockett (Mary), Phyllis Barbosa (David), Rickey Crockett (Candace), Davy Crockett, Alfreda Wilson (Tommy) and Dorothy Johnson; as well as numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, other family and friends.
