Lynda M. Wallace, age 84 of Kansas City, Kansas passed away on October 15, 2022. Lynda was born on February 12, 1938 in Cottonwood, Oklahoma to Thomas and Meade (Sutton) Humphrey. She graduated from Atoka High School and earned her degree at Kansas City Community College.
On February 1, 1957 Lynda married Jesse Wallace and together they had three children, Jesse, Brent and Diana. She performed data and managerial duties for 25 years at K&W Tax Service, Inc. until her retirement.
Lynda loved to listen to music and enjoyed bowling, going to garage sales and spending time with her friends. She was active in Eastern Star and Military Order of Cooties and also served as Supreme President as well as Worthy Matron for Eastern Star.
Lynda was preceded in death by her parents; her husband of 42 years, Jesse; daughter, Diana Wallace; daughter-in-law, Lori Wallace; granddaughter, Brittney Wallace; brothers, Eldon Humphrey and Leonard Humphrey; sister, Ruby Humphrey; nephews, Thomas Humphrey, G.W. Manning; and nieces, Joyce Humphrey, Lynda Humphrey and Julie Folks.
Lynda is survived by her sons, Jesse Wallace and Brent Wallace; daughter-in-law, Pamela Wallace; grandchildren, Michael, Bryan (Michelle), Amanda (Eddie), Adam (Julie), Lorin and Toby (Darby); great-grandchildren Gabriel, Levi, Sophie, Ollie and Miles; as well as 11 nephews and 10 nieces.
A funeral service will be held at 11:00 am, Friday, October 28, 2022 at Chapel Hill-Butler Funeral Home, 701 N. 94th St., Kansas City, Kansas. A visitation will begin at 9:00 am, also at the chapel.
