Linda Muehlenthaler, 63, passed away to be with the Lord on Friday, August 13, 2010, at Hospice House of Kansas City. Services will be held on Tuesday, August 17, 2010 at 11:00 a.m. at Village West Church with burial to follow at Chapel Hill Memorial Gardens. Family will receive friends on August 17, 2010 from 10:00a.m. to 11:00a.m. at Village West Church. Reception/gathering afterward at the church. Linda was born on March 13, 1947, in Des Moines, Iowa, to William and Maxine (Atha) Banks. She graduated from Johnston High School in 1965. She attended the Operating Room Technician's Program at the Des Moines Area Community College. Linda worked for Pioneer Hi-Bred International in Johnston, Iowa, for 19 years and retired in September 2002. In August 2008, Larry and Linda moved to Kansas City to be closer to family. She had exceptional love for her family. She also enjoyed traveling, her pets and spending the winter in Arizona. Linda was a devoted wife and mother and is survived by her husband of 43 years, Larry; daughters Rhonda (Godfrey) Makundi and Shannon (Dave) Wright; two grandsons, Noah Makundi and Elijah Makundi; two granddaughters, Sydney Wright and Madisson Wright; half sister, Jane Heller; nieces and nephews. She was preceeded in death by her mother; Maxine Gall, her father; William Edward Banks, Jr., her stepfather; Elwood Gall, and her half brother, Thomas Gall.
