Karen Ann Poolman, age 72, of Kansas City, Kansas passed away peacefully on Friday, May 22, 2020 at home surrounded by her family. Karen was born on November 24, 1947 in St. Joseph, Missouri to William and Cora Jones. Karen graduated from Layfette High School in St. Joseph, Missouri. She married the love of her life, Daniel Poolman in 1966. Together they had three children, Daniel, Mark, and Erin. Over the years, Karen worked as a bank teller and in sales, but she primarily was a homemaker. She enjoyed crafting, bowling, sewing, flowers, and spending time with her family and friends. Karen liked playing bunko with friends, shopping, and reading. What truly brought her the most joy were her ten grandchildren. She cared for them, spoiled them, and loved spending time with them. She taught them to play card and dice games.
Karen was preceded in death by her parents and brother Floyd Auxier.
She is survived by her husband Daniel, children Daniel Poolman Jr. (Amy), Mark Poolman, and Erin Barnes (Joe); grandchildren, Renee, Ashley, Markus, Brock, Brady, Grace, Thomas, Andrew, Catherine, and Abigail; nieces and nephews and extended family.
