A visitation for Grace will be held Monday, March 13, 2023 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at Chapel Hill - Butler Funeral Home, 701 North 94th Street, Kansas City, Kansas 66112. With funeral services to follow at 11:00 AM. Then burial at Chapel Hill Memorial Gardens. A reception will occur back at Chapel Hill - Butler Funeral Home directly after the burial.
Grace was born July 26th, 1941 in Kansas City, Kansas. She lived in the KCK area her whole life. Many of those years were spent working at Dearborn Midwest Steel Company, where she was a Shipping and Receiving manager till she retired.
Grace enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren, family gatherings, camping, boating, cruise vacations and cheering on the KC Chiefs the last few years. Her favorite TV shows were The Young & Restless, The Bold & the Beautiful & The Curse of Oak Island. Favorite movie was "Dirty Dancing" with Patrick Swayze, says she watched it about 30+ times.
Grace was preceded in death by her (loving husband of 46 years): Wayne Ridenour Sr.; (parents): Cyrus & Grace Button; (daughter): Melissa Ridenour; (granddaughter): Erin Nicole "Nicki" Peacher.
Grace is survived by her (son): Wayne Ridenour Jr. & wife Rhoda; (daughter): Kristi Anderson & husband Kevin; (brother): Jim Button & wife Darlene; (8 grandchildren): David Kavalir; Jesse Ridenour; Becky Wilson & husband Tim; Vanessa DeLeon; Jeff Anderson & wife Andrea; Antonio DeLeon & wife Arica; Monica Anderson & Brandon Anderson. Plus 14 great grandchildren, not to mention many extended family members and close friends.
Serving as pallbearers are Brandon Anderson, Monica Anderson, Jeffrey Anderson, David Kavalir, Jesse Ridenour, Becky Wilson, Vanessa DeLeon and Antonio DeLeon.
