Jane was born May 24, 1927 in Marshall, Missouri to Charles W. and Norene E. (Ainsworth) Brumble. After spending her formative years in Marshall, she moved to Kansas City, where she worked as a Waitress at the Blue Willows Café on Minnesota Avenue in the 1950’s. After she married, Jane lived in Pomona, Kansas for over 10 years, where she was a homemaker and tended their business raising Hunting Dogs, before moving back to the Kansas City Area 39 years ago. Jane was a Lifetime Member of Weight Watchers who loved shopping, collecting porcelain dolls and frog figurines as well as working her crossword puzzle every morning. She loved to cook, and was very good at it. She was especially talented at making Lemon Meringue Pie, which was her specialty. She also enjoyed making candy every Christmas Season. Jane loved all animals, frequently donating money to various animal charities, but she especially loved her cat, Pretty Girl, who she enjoyed keeping company with, especially while watching her soap operas, The Family Feud, and Judge Judy.
She was preceded in death by her husband, William R. Williams, when he died in 1987; her mother, when Jane herself was only 6-years old; her father; her 3 sisters, Opal, Minnie and Charlene; and her brother, Charlie.
Left to cherish her memory are many nieces and nephews, including Lisa and Fred Couts, Eric and Megan Marshall, and Tori Couts; as well as Jane’s dear friends, Josephine, Sharon and Marvin.
