She was a 1978 graduate from Harrisonville High School. Diana served her country in the Air Force and Army Reserves. She also worked for the Marine Corps for several years where she met her husband, Ken, whom she married August 3, 1991.
She traveled the country as a military wife for many years, living in various locations, before settling in Fulton, Mo. in 2007. Most recently, Diana was a school bus driver for Fulton Public Schools where she adored working with children. In 2020, Diana achieved her bachelor's degree in Accounting from Columbia College in Columbia, Mo.
Diana's children and grandchildren were the pride and joy of her life. She loved her family endlessly and never missed a sporting event or recital for any of her children. The legacy of Diana's caring spirit and sense of humor will live on through them.
She is survived by her six children: Ashley (Ken) Strohm of Queens, N.Y.; Damon Eliuk of Salem, Ore.; Bethany (Brandon) Hammerstone of Kansas City, Mo.; Tanner (Clara) Eliuk of Raleigh, N.C.; Jared Eliuk of Fulton, Mo. and Aaron Eliuk of Fulton, Mo. She is the loving grandmother of three grandsons: Lincoln, Henry and Otis Strohm. She is survived by her husband of 30 years, Ken Eliuk. She is also survived by her parents, Bill Wiseman and Linda Bushno, as well as her sisters, Debbie and Shellie; brothers, Bill and Bob; and many nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her beloved aunt, Regina (Jean) Proffitt.
A Celebration of Diana’s life will be at 11 a.m., Friday, January 7, 2022, at Chapel Hill Funeral Home, 701 N. 94th St., Kansas City, Kansas.
