Christina Peerson, 81, of KCK, passed away Friday, March 29th. Memorial services will be held 11:00 a.m., Wed., April 3rd at Chapel Hill-Butler Funeral Home, 701 N. 94th St., KCK. Visitation will be from 6:00-8:00 p.m., Tues., April 2nd at the funeral home. Private inurnment at a later date.
Christina was born May 22, 1931 in Cheyenne, Wyoming and lived there until she met her husband and they married after he was honorably discharged from the Navy in 1952. They moved to KC shortly thereafter. Christina was the consummate hostess, she was a wonderful cook and enjoyed flower arrangement and decorating; she even taught classes at a local community college for many years on the art of flower design. She was a member of Beta Sigma Phi and numerous Red Hat Groups. She was a Christian and her family said that she would have been a General in God’s Army.
Christina was preceded in death by her parents, Benjamin and Evelyn Duke, her husband Jack Peerson, brother Larry Duke, sister, Linda Woody.
She is survived by her sons, Jimmy Peerson and his wife Sylvia of Tonganoxie and Jack N. Peerson and his wife Julie of Basehor, KS; sister, Jackie Thomas and her husband Garth of Idaho; grandchildren, Nina Lobner, Lori Roark and her husband John, Michael Peerson, Shane Peerson and Carley Peerson as well as three great-grandchildren, Dustin, Ross and Gabby and an aunt Rosemarie.
