Rodney Wayne Johnson, of Kailua, 80, beloved Father, Grandfather, Greatgrandfather, Brother and Friend passed away March 22, 2022 in Kaneohe. Born June 2, 1941 in Honolulu, he was an educator for over 30 years, basketball coach, employee at M. Dyers, and State Department of Agriculture. He served in the Bishopric for the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints.
Survived by wife Kay Johnson; daughter Lei (Matt-deceased), Taja, Mika, Tiana Wong; son Brad (Dayna) Kaniau (Nohea), Courtney, Ihaka (Lexus) Johnson; daughter Ku’uipo (Harry), Kiakaha (Mattie), TeRina, Jayda, Jalyn Santana; daughter Roxanne (Chris), Ariki, Tiare Cardejon; great grandchildren Brooklyn and Tamaterangi; sister Darleen (Ernie) Clark; sister-in-law Maureen (Kenneth-deceased) Johnson.
Visitation 10:00 a.m. Saturday, April 30, 2022 at the Keolu Chapel of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints (1461 Kanapu’u Drive, Enchanted Lakes, Kailua). Service 11:00 a.m.; grave dedication and burial at 3 p.m. at Hawaiian Memorial Park Cemetery. Casual attire.
